26 The Beautiful Fatima
You will have to take my word for it that Fatima is beautiful.
I guess I'm being a bit cynical with this piece, something that is beautiful should be visible, it should be on show, appreciated as the tribute to nature that it is.
There are quite a few bits of the original pebble visible on this piece including some deep natural fissures. As with some of my other pieces I think the imperfections add something to the overall appearance rather than detract from it.
Diesel [the cat] is half Turkish Angora half Turkish Van, with two blue eyes he is completely deaf, but a day long faithful companion when I'm sculpting.
